Jannah Hunt Oil Yemen

Blk-5 consists of three main producing fields located at Al-Nasr, Dhahab, and Halewah. The fourth field is Jannah which is located east of the Halewah field.

Blk-5 oil production is stabilized and made to pipeline specifications at the Halewah Central Processing Facility. Produced oil from Al-Nasr/Dhahab fields is shipped to Halewah CPU via a 12” 27 Km pipeline for processing. The on-spec oil is passed through the custody transfer meters (LACT unit) before joining the export pipeline.

The produced gas is reinjected to the reservoirs at Dhahab and Halewah fields as they are gas cap reservoirs.  Al-Nasr produced gas is reinjected to the Dhahab reservoir. JHOC maintain an average of 97% gas utilization.

Al-Nasr field is a waterflood reservoir, and the produced water is reinjected to the reservoir. Blk-5 produced water is sent to Al-Nasr for reinjection.  Additional water is supplied from Blk-18 (produced water) and delivered via an 8” 37 Km pipeline to Al-Nasr to maintain a 100% void age replacement ratio.

Halewah Central Processing Facility:

Halewah Central Processing Facility consists of two production trains. Train-1 is the main one and consists of HP separator, IP separator, and Test separator.  The oil from the separators and from Al Nasr & Dhahab passes thru the dehydrator, desalter, crude heater, and stabilizer. The pipeline spec oil passes thru heat exchangers and then transferred through shipping pumps and LACT Unit to the export pipeline. The Off-Spec Crude storage tank is used if the produced oil is off pipeline spec or the produced oil needs to be temporarily diverted for any other reason.

The produced gas flows to the appropriate HP or IP compressor. There are two IP compressors and three HP compressors and then re-injected to Halewah reservoir.

The produced water is sent to Al-Nasr. The water is pumped thru a 6” line 30 Km. If for some reason the produced water cannot be received at Al-Nasr, the produced water is injected to produced water disposal well.

Train-2 is an expansion train and consists of crude heater, dehydrator, and desalter. The oil exits the desalter and joins Train-1 oil for shipping.

The facility power is provided by three Solar Taurus gas-driven turbine generators and one black-start generator.

Al-Nasr Facility:

Oil is produced from wells to production separators and test separators. The produced oil is delivered from the separator to the degassing boot and then to the crude storage tank. The oil is pumped to the Halewah facility along with Dhahab produced oil via transfer pumps.

The facility has seven gas injection compressors that deliver the produced gas to Dhahab reservoir and to the gas lift system. There are three vapor recovery compressors that take the gas from the degassing boot and discharge gas to the gas injection compressor suction.

Al-Nasr produced water is taken from the separators to skim tanks and co-mingles with produced water received from Dhahab and Halewah. The other two water sources are Blk-18 produced water and Aser water supplied from three water wells using ESPs. The produced water then goes to the clean-tank and passes thru 5 shell Media Filters prior to being injected. The produced water is injected using three gas engine-driven pumps and four electric motor-driven pumps.

Al-Nasr Facility power is supplied by four gas engine Caterpillar generators and one black-start generator.

Dhahab Facility:

Dhahab facility has IP separators, LP separators, and one test separator. Oil flows from the separators to degassing boot and then to the crude storage tank. Produced oil is pumped from the crude storage tank to the existing 12” pipeline to Halewah.

The two vapor recovery compressors (VRC’s) take the gas from the degassing boot and LP separators and compress it to the gas injection compressors inlet. Produced gas is reinjected to Dhahab reservoir. The gas is re-injected using five RGC compressors. The produced water from separators is collected in the skim tank and pumped to Al Nasr thru a 4” line.

Dhahab facility power is supplied by two Caterpillar gas engine-driven generators and one black-start generator.
